Londolozi Game Reserve is located in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, just west of the Kruger National Park, in the north-east of South Africa. This reserve is renowned for providing superb game viewing which is some of the best in Africa.

Londolozi Location and Directions

Sabi Sand Reserve spans 65 000 hectares (almost 161 000 acres), and while it is not technically part of Kruger, it shares a 50km (31 mile) long unfenced border with Kruger National Park, ensuring that animals can roam unhindered between the two reserves.The Sabi Sand comprises a number of individual reserves, but unlike the Kruger Park, Sabi Sand is not open to the general public which means that only a few guests share this pristine wilderness exclusively. Each private reserve has traversing rights over a specific area.Londolozi Game Reserve has access to 15 000 hectares / 42 000 acres of prime game viewing land with exclusive rights over 7 000 hectares. This essentially means 1 bed per 167 hectares of land. Londolozi Rangers are not bound by Kruger Park rules and can therefore drive off-road on safari and conduct comprehensive bush walks into the wilderness.

NOTES: Guests arriving by road are required to pay a Sabi Sand Reserve levy in cash at the entrance.

From Johannesburg to Londolozi (500km / 311 miles):

Take the N12 / N4 from Johannesburg to Nelspruit. Then the R40 from Nelspruit to Hazyview. Followed by the R536 from Hazyview towards Paul Kruger Gate. After 37.km / 23 miles, turn left onto a gravel road (sign-posted Sabi Sand Wildtuin 1km). Enter the Sabi Sand Reserve and follow Londolozi signs to camp (approximately 17km / 11 miles).

By Air

Schedule Flights

Federal Air operates a daily flight from Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport to Londolozi Airstrip, which is a five-minute drive from the camp. There are scheduled flights from Durban and Cape Town to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA). Londolozi provides a 2.5 hour road transfer from KMIA to Londolozi on request.
